( friendship - difficult ) — There are multiple reasons that finding a friend within South is rather difficult. They do not care much to put in time into relationships when they view most people disposable and untrustworthy, which is a sure way to lose anyone who might be interested in pursuing something with them. They do not give away their heart easily and guard their secrets with their life, and make sure to keep most people at a safe distance so that they think they know about South but truly don't. This isn't to say that making friends is impossible, it just takes a lot of patience and will often start as seemingly nothing but a one night stand.
( romantic - impossible ) —
( familial - difficult ) — Much like with friendships, it isn't impossible to establish some familial bonds with South, but it is far harder than trying to obtain their friendship. Inevitably, however, friendship soon turns into this familial bond as a result of South's life philosophy when it comes to family. Anyone who is close enough to become their friend is also close enough to be family, and South will eventually see the other person as such and be more than willing to take a bullet for them when the time comes. Family is the most important for South; everything else, including themselves, is secondary.
