Mutated Smilodon with a mane and longer, fluffier tail. Stands just under 5 feet tall at the shoulder, and weighs close to 900 pounds, with thick, defined slabs of muscle, especially around his haunches and shoulders. He isn't incredibly scarred, but he has his fair share of them from his lifestyle, and as for his fur, he tends to keep it dyed, predominantly black with rich crimson highlights here and there (REF). However, his true coloring is much different, comprised of light and dark shades of ginger with gold striping (REF). The odds of seeing him with his original coloring are low, and the closest he will get to it is when the roots begin to show, after which he'll promptly dye them again.

His eyes are a dark sapphire, and the skin of his nose/paw-pads appears to be an almost burnt pink.

Jailbird is the guy all for the underdogs, and he has never hesitated to resort to very violent confrontations when he sees the mistreatment of someone who doesn't deserve it. This may give paint him in a somewhat favorable light, may make him seem protective, and while he is that, Jailbird is not forgiving. He does not allow for second chances, and anyone he considers scum of the earth, he will attempt to kill.

Naturally, he doesn't make many friends going on this one-man crusade, but he isn't the most sociable person anymore. In conversations, he is either gruff or acerbic, mouth as sharp as the rest of him. He tends to excel fairly well at pissing people off, though goading is, at times, exactly what he wants to do.

Harsh as he can be, he has a marked soft spot for children, especially abandoned, downtrodden children. He hasn't ever adopted them, as he knows his own lifestyle and its dangers for kids, but he will always do his best to find someone who can take care of them.
