She had to admit, she fell in love with the atmosphere here. It was so different from the forest and mansion back home. It was like. Just... (words failed her...) So cool!! It was like!! Sandy! And wet! And there was a cool sunset! ... y-yeaaaahh...
So it's why she came back. Well... More like it was her job now, but she ultimately signed up for it so it was ultimately her fault, anyways? Gwendoline walked. She was flightless, for now. She was learning... and even had her flight feathers... but she just couldn't fly. She didn't know how. It wasn't a problem, though. She liked walking. It was easy and time efficient; much more than just standing around (she decided earlier that hopping, while also fun, took much more energy and tired her out way faster than walking).
She had been given instructions before she left. Something about gifts? She hoped the typhoon liked her assortment of shiny silk fabrics and glistening trinkets. It was the best thing she could think of, after all, for both a bird and a pirate (they were pirates, right..? W... was pirate a derogatory term?)! She even threw in some of her own favorite shiny stones and coins. They will be missed, but their sacrifice would not be in vein. It was for friendship! She could handle loosing a few shinnies for friendship.
Sadly, she could not bring a lot of gifts, though, most of her gifts were small. Not exactly useful, but fun to look at (she swore she shoved a glitter kaleidoscope in there somewhere)! She hoped no one would be mad... It wasn't exactly easy carrying them all here. She had to make a little linen sack to wrap around her back to drag them all here. It was fun though! Her legs felt extra strong now!
She set the sack down on in the sand. Hello!! she chirped out, smiling into the distance. I'm Gwndoline! I'm your new ambassador for the Rosebloods! I got some shiny things for you! The magpie-jay reached down, taking hold of the string tying the burlap sack together, yanking it. The bag became undone, revealing the small gemstones and other shiny materials inside, shimmering in the sunlight (careful! Don't get blinded!).
