[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 9.5pt; line-height: 1.4;letter-spacing:.1px"]Questioning Val's motives or honesty is the quickest way to get on his bad side. It's an insult that he won't tolerate, even if he knows that they're right to question him. He's a naturally helpful and kind person, so hearing that someone assumes the worst of him really pisses him off. His reaction to this is often,,,, not that great. He'll snap back in a way that doesn't quite disprove what they're saying, but he doesn't know how to prove that he's a good person except through his actions, and when they refuse to see his actions for what they are, the most he can do is get angry about it.
When it comes to friendships, he doesn't make them based purely on circumstance. Coworkers or people on his morning commute would not be his type. He needs someone who shares his interests or passions, or at the very least shares some history and personality. Someone that he understands and feels close to, not just tolerates. Friendships are very slow to form, but can last a lifetime. He's the type of person to forgive friends time and time again, and he'll help them every time they need it, even if they haven't talked in years.
