A new flood of saliva gushed in response, and he swallowed, alizarin bleeding into black eyes, adrenaline sending shocks of anticipation through his muscles. The large lion tensed, watching with an unwavering gaze as the leader sat, back to Gabriel's- no, Reaper's position. Reaper. He was Reaper, not some sentimental old man ruled by a weak heart, though it did have its uses, he supposed. Without it, his activation would never have been possible. The man had cared too much, then only enough to turn himself in, and from there, Reaper was born. He was not bound to affection like his cover was.
