[align=center][div style="width: 540px; text-align: justify; font-family: helvetica; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 1.4;"]Born as the unwanted daughter of a whirlwind romance turned bitter, Lucia's earliest memories are those of a negligent mother. She knows not her name, remembers the sound of anything but her insults and cannot recall her face. Her clear memories come from her days being taken in by an elderly herbalist, who named her Lucia Pallas Averill.

Her name was Callisto, an old witch that raised the young feline with a critical eye and pushing the young Lucia to chase after knowledge. It helped that Callisto had found an apt young student, and although the two were never affectionate or close, they fell into an easy rhythm. Lucia learnt all that she could under her mentor, although she was interested in more than what Callisto could offer.

Callisto was no saint, but Lucia wanted to see if she could bend the world to her will. She had nothing to chase but this in her own mind. Not only that, Callisto taught her to see others as inferiors, blowing up Lucia's already sizeable ego into something that became her definition. She was smarter than anyone else, of course she was, and she was going to find a way to bend the laws of arcana to her own will.

When Callisto passed of old age, Lucia left the small group that the old witch served and started to experiment. It was during her experiments she was drafted into the Order of the Cobalt Soul, an order of monks that were interested in the pursuit of knowledge and preserving the truth, fighting against tyrants and spreading the truth across the world. Whilst their manifesto of helping others made Lucia question their beliefs, she was happy to be inducted into an order that allowed her access to the libraries of the Knowing Mistress, secrets that were beyond the grasp of anyone not chosen by the Goddess.
but of course, anger is better than apathy isn't it?
