He hated the ocean. It must be odd for someone to say that in a place that was surrounded by a large body of water that was indeed an ocean. Ichigo had his own experience with the substance and did everything that he could to avoid the stuff. The over-sized cougar only went across the boardwalk if he needed something, and then if he didn't need anything he was near the borders or near the mountains where he wouldn't have to be around it. He was a decent swimmer when it came down to the basics, but the reason he truly avoided the water was because of the way fate seemed to work around the luck that he sometimes had. The wildcat didn't have any luck with the water and only terrible things happened to him while he was around the place. It was annoying, to say the least because he knew many friends and family that simply loved the ocean and would do anything to play in it. Ichigo was not one of those and seemed to almost freeze solid at the thought of asking him to jump into the water. The first instance of something bad happening to him while he was around the water would be the fact that he had been attacked by a saltwater crocodile that he didn't see underneath the water. The massive reptile had grabbed his left back leg, which had plenty of scars that lined that area to show where the crocodile had ripped into his leg and snapped his leg in half.
He only survived because his friends came to his rescue as being thrown around didn't exactly give him any time to attack. His own sister was attacked on the sandy beaches of the ocean where she would remain blind for as long as he could remember before being killed. Then came the near-drowning where he heard his friends voice calling from help in the middle of the ocean. only for him to swim out and find out that it was a trap of an animal that had gills that took him under water. He remembered the feeling of liquid filling his lungs and the thought that he was going to die there. It was going to be for a better purpose though and was let go at he last minute before he blacked out. The death of his best friends near the water certainly made him wanted to avoid the place. O'Fraiser died from humans that in a ship that was near the territory. Cambrian walked off a seaside cliff after the death of his husband, and Ichigo had to look down at his mangled body beneath. To say that he was a little mortified was an understatement. Either way, while the dragon's elements were that of ice and cold, Ichigo's were that of fire and heat. It wasn't really that obvious with the way that the armored cougar looked, but when it came to his attacks primarily they were that of fire components. There was only one other creature that he knew over his time that he was alive that used ice elements and that was his best friend Toshiro. He knew that the other had died a long time ago and there had been nothing Ichigo could do as he had been dead at the time as well.
The over-sized cougar had been at the boardwalk when he noticed a shadow that passed over him. Ichigo had his own dragon form, although it took a while for him to transform into it in the factor that his shapeshifting was extremely painful and if he didn't use it all the time it got even more painful for him. His dragon form was that of a Japanese serpentine dragon that had red scales across his entire body. Other than that, there wasn't anything extremely interesting about him. The wildcat had no intention of turning into a dragon, and he had followed the shadow before looking up to see the tail end of a dragon that seemed to be landing. As far as he knew the only dragon that he had met in the clans was Lucifer back in the Typhoon. The Typhoon being the place where his granddaughter currently was. As soon as Ichigo heard the crash, the Shinigami immediately leaped up onto his paws and began to sprint to the other end of the boardwalk that was attached to the shore. He would teleport short distances until he was at the end. When he rounded the corner, he already noticed a couple faces that were there. Ichigo only recognized one however, the two were completely unknown to him.
The Shinigami teleported himself near the group, but not next to anyone specifically. The dragon was certainly larger than he was, but he had seen dragons as large as whales and wasn't intimidated. There had been a small sliver of hope in Ichigo's chest that this might be his friend Toshiro that had taken a different form but this didn't seem to be the case. He looked at the crater the other had created and then back up at the ice dragon. Blue was the other's name? That sounded fairly basic with the way names went. Although, his name could literally mean Strawberry depending on the context in Japanese. He was glad that there was no one that lived in these groups that called him strawberry, maybe he would finally be rid of the ridiculous name. A smirk spread across his tired facial features as he looked at the dragon. "I'd probably give ya a 5 for landing technique myself. Name's Kurosaki Ichigo. Nice to meet ya Blue." A former clan leader sad casually to the other. His bi-colored eyes certainly could be considered weird, a black sclera on his left eye where a normal eye had white instead of black.
