After deeming this "new" place to be relatively acceptable, he lowered his head to begin to graze upon some nearby grass, a bobbed tail twitching absently as he did so. It had been a long time since Ilijas had been home, and yet, he displayed no indication of familiarity as he moved lazily along, going where the grass seemed densest. Even he had forgotten that he had lost himself in the thrill of being an elk, the feral brain of the hoofed mammal he occupied overriding his once intelligent conscious. As far as the former Dawnguard was concerned, he had been this creature his entire life.

Until the low rumble of a masculine voice in the back of his head caused him to stiffen, head lifting immediately as he turned to search for what only could be considered danger. 'As fun as your vacation has been, I do believe that it's time you return to reality, Ilijas. Perhaps you'd like to join the people you pledged your loyalty once more? Or have you forgotten about them entirely? And what of your darling Beverly? Don't you fret about her? You're giving us both a bad name.' It was not what he was saying or even the presence of this strange voice that caused Ilijas to abruptly shift back into a silver bengal, but rather that word.... Us.

As far as he was concerned, he was the only individual within his body. Who had infiltrated his mind? And to what end? He was too busy muling over this new development that he hardly realized that he was back and, even more than that, had somehow found himself back at home.
