The crisp, morning air nearly sent c h i l l s running down the brute's spine. His great cranium lifted upward, a very light breeze tickling the hairs upon the bridge of his nose. As Autumn crept into season, the mornings and nights certainly grew colder with each passing day.

His amber eyes blinked and he rolled his shoulders in an attempt to shrug the sleep off of them. Titan had been tasked with leading a border patrol, in which he was glad. Any other task, and he likely would have made a fool of himself. Half of the tasks that were given had to do with artsy things such as cooking or crafting; two things that the lion clearly could not do. If Titan was good at anything, it was basic clan functions — hunting, patrolling, training, defending. It was what he had been raised to do in a semi-traditional pride setting, where everyone had a role to play in society. As a healthy male cub, a lot of things had been expected of him.

Nonetheless, Titan could only describe this feeling as... usefulness? Fulfillment? Something along those lines. He had padded all the way towards the end of the observatory's grounds and to where the fields began. He turned to look over his shoulder and announced, "Border patrol, over here."
