PINK RIBBON SCARS
THAT NEVER FORGET. I'VE TRIED SO HARD TO C L E A N S E THESE REGRETS.
There was always two sides to a story.
On one hand, this was an enemy. No matter who he was, he was a member of Sunhaven and therefore a threat to the wellbeing of the Ascendants. The group had raided the observatory in the dead of night not too long ago; who was to say that they weren't planning a rescue raid at this very moment? Perhaps he deserved to get struck down now, just so that his friends had nobody to save.
On the other hand, however, this man was not a murderous beast like the Sunhaveners had been portrayed as. He wasn't cursing their name or engaging in an attack; in fact, he was crying. He had claimed that he had "never hurt them." And perhaps that was true, but as a member of Sunhaven, he indirectly had.
So, which side to choose?
His claws had dug into the ground, almost kneading and flexing as he processed his thoughts. He was more conflicted about this matter than he intended to be. He seemed to be conflicted about a lot of things these days. Before he could even answer the question for himself, Ren had piped up and offered to take the captive somewhere else. He was showing him kindness instead of putting him through pain like Bubonicplague had originally intended. The lion quietly looked up to Moon and the others, curious to see what their reactions would be to this bold offer.
