Two massive trifold pairs of wings ate up the vast expanse of blue - a true shadow like a tear in such pure fabric moving across the cloudless sky and a steady thrumbeat as massive wings carried an equally vast armoured yet deceptively lither form across and around the brief circuit through the island territory.

A patrol route, one the dark one flew day and night in equal and measured lengths of time, a security measure from the officer - and a preventive from any bandits and the like, for who attacked a territory with so blatant a defence as a dragon? nevermind that he was more so than this form gave him, a dragon was usually more than enough to deter most.

the vast shadows, edged in fever bright white tilted - banking downwards as Lucifer came in to land squarely on the sandy yellow-white beaches below, a sudden inkblot on such near white plains - Lucifer rumbled quietly, shaking himself of the sea spray a near skimming flight had thrown upon him briefly as he folded away his wings, the soft sounds of his plates moving in sync at such a motion blending with the quiet thrum of the sea behind him.

rolling his shoulders, the dragon turned towards the treeline, searching for the familiar figure of the only other parent to troublesome raptors on this island - and hopefully help the grown indominus with any height related problems his recent growth spurt had given him.

it had been many many times ago that he'd had such troubles - most his had been when newly born folding himself into a form suitable for the material world, crafting his shadows over the red red bones and a singularity for a heart and soul - it had been a novelty after that to learn how to handle height around so many smaller.

although he'd had to get used to being smaller in this world and plane he'd found himself in since his last, restricted as his form became after - well,
