[align=center][div style="text-align: justify; width: 60%; font-family: georgial; font-size: 11pt;"]Axle had been naive to the Tanglewood's efforts for the most part. Being captured had severely limited his knowledge of what was going on in the outside world, he was still trying to readjust to the life he'd made for himself after the incident. An odd smell had brought him out of his hiding place in the territory, an aroma that almost reminded him of food. A flash of meat appeared in his head, a deer's thigh or a rabbit's flank, whatever the hell it was it caused the Heeler to start drooling. Damn, how desperate had he become for meals ever since being denied the privilege? On hasty pawsteps the canine weaved his way through the swamp, hopping atop of an awkwardly placed hay bale - things that should've been made clear just became more confusing. Why was Delilah wearing that? Did it protect her against the ghosts in some way? What was a festival? Who was that guy?
Snorting, the stench of an unfamiliar warrior entered his nostrils not too long after gaining the high ground, mind instantly filling with alarm bells as he glared down at Sephiroth. Lion or not there was a duty to behold, this trespasser whom he hadn't thought would be here posed a danger to Axle. At the start it was just staring, then after some time observing the nonchalant figure it turned into teeth-baring and lip curling in warning for the other not to do anything daft. Letting a stranger into his home wasn't easy nor was it was something he'd ever adjust to after what'd happened the last time, Axle would rather be safe than sorry if the Tanglewood needed to survive after the winter. Eventually when the silence had become too much and he was sure that the Roseblood wasn't heeding the Heeler's notice, a quiet growl escaped him, ears flattened to a broad skull.
