Very rarely did her sisters unite under her grandmother's call in order to participate in anything but war schemes, and when they did happen to come together under the guise of "peace" and "unity", the news that fell from her matron's mouth was never good. But she had quickly come to realize that the Ascendants handled themselves in a very different fashion, rejoicing in the benefits that one individual offered another and looking past the brute strength or skillset of someone in favor of their company. It was nice, she would confess, to not be looked at and seen only as her grandmother's ruthless heir and prized assassin... but she doubted she'd ever truly get used to it.
The fire smelled delightful though, and her troubles were quickly washed away as she helped herself to the necessary materials to craft the perfect s'more. She preferred the taste of blood and meat, but if indulging in one of these sugary treats would help her assimilate further into this group, than she'd eat a hundred if she had to. The alcohol, on the other hand, was something she eyed warily. They had been prohibited to get close to the substance, and she had dished out the brutal punishment to those who dared defy that almost sacred rule. She wasn't ready tonight, but maybe one day she would see why her grandmother was so incessant that they never drank.
Remembering her manners in that instant, Agathe flashed a smile (that was more a show of teeth than anything else) in Oni's direction. "Thanks." Simple and to the point- she didn't want to waste time when she could be eating, after all.
