[align=center][div style="width: 500px; text-align: justify; font-size: 9.4pt; line-height: 1.4;"]"If it's Alzheimer's, I'm forgetting you first." At least Moon no longer wanted to poke him with thirty foot pole- he was just doing it upfront now, and even though his headache was enough to make him want to tear out his fur, some of the tension he'd been carrying loosened. As acerbic as they could be with each other, Gabe liked the kid, he did. Finding him in the cell back in The Typhoon had been a risk he was willing to take, even as he'd known it'd take a lot more than that to earn his trust. Hell, he doubted even now that he had it fully. Enough to give him the old position back, sure, but more than that? He couldn't say. He wouldn't blame him for the hesitation, all things considered. On top of that, though, was Peri. Gabriel missed most of their dance around each other, but he could fill in the blanks, and the way Moon darkened demoting her said more than anything else could. They would've been cute.
God knew Moon needed the impulse control.
His gaze rolled over to Onision, and he exhaled. Moon pretty much summed that up. They didn't have enough to throw at The Typhoon, and Gabriel had a bad feeling that if he showed his face there again on The Ascendants' side, he'd have somebody else with a grudge on his back. It was nothing new, he just needed...something. A break from the headache at the very least.
