Jiyu couldn't read anything on the animal standing across from her, but of course she had never been able to read even herself. Anything that the leader of the other group was feeling? The only time that the Nomarch became even remotely capable of truly recognizing the emotions of others was when her blood was flowing fast and the sadist desires she had once possessed emerged again lusting to see fear and pain. Like this, there was no way she could understand any of them, she never even acted for a second like she could, just being stoic the whole way through, no movement almost as if she wasn't even real.

"Unless you'd rather wait while one of us goes to get her." but it would be pointless, either way if they were going the result in the end would not change.
