weakly he stretched one wing over himself, shielding his small body from the cruel glare of the sun. though it wasn't much, the shade at least helped some; it surely wouldn't save him, but oh, it felt good in the moment. he panted quietly before finally dropping his wing from tiredness, and with heaving breaths he curled both around himself and released a soft whine. "ego volo ire domum," junji whispered to himself, and ducked his head into the shield of his wings to hide his tears.
