"Eh, he seems full of himself. I think if someone knocked the guy down a few pegs, he'd be a little more tolerable, maybe loose that shitty look that he's always got on his face. Then he'd probably be decently chill, might have a sense of humor, and would be useful if we ever -- finally -- had some form of action around here. Definitely don't trust him enough for that shit yet, though... The dude just seems shady. Absolutely hiding something. When he doesn't have that dumb cocky look on his face, he's got that damned expression that just screams secrets. Like he's constantly confused by his own surroundings or some shit. Like, dude, how many times are you going to look at your own paws like they're news to you? Jeez."
-- Bast had a poor first impression of Roy and views him as smug/conceited, which is something he is not at all impressed by. He prefers confidence, not egos, and he perceives Roy to be an "ego". (He also doesn't appreciate being talked-down to, and still holds a grudge for their border interaction.) I think they could get to be friends if Bast decides he's not a self-absorbed jerk / sees that Roy is an alright guy though because Bast is also a sarcastic shit and would probably appreciate Roy's snarkiness if they were on the same side. Prediction: they end up vague friends after a period of Bast disliking / distrusting him from afar. (He probably won't be satisfied until he roots out what Roy is hiding, though.)

No offense to Starry, but damn. I'm still going to kick his ass for the glitter, though."
-- HD is definitely the wild older brother that Bast never asked for or wanted but has/will grudgingly accept into his circle. He's probably the third highest ranking person on his list right now, because he takes to his relaxed personality and is down to just fuck around and have fun with him when he's not feeling death by headache coming on. At this point if someone came at HD, Bast would probably go for the jugular b/c fuck that guy, only Bast gets to complain about HD's insufferableness. Prediction: broooooos. (Bast was really really good besties with someone pretty similar to HD in his FF life so I'm stoked for these vibes.)
