questions, questions, questions. questions made the world interesting, they kept venus up at night, they made venus' life worth living. so many questions venus had for a being not mortal but instead a mere concept that venus began to wonder whether they'd ever receive an answer they'd even be remotely satisfied with - mother nature. a cruel mistress. she produce every living being, she loved them enough to shape the creatures in her image, but she did things that confused venus. that and she never spoke. some say that the winds are her voice, but if so then venus was practically crying out for a translator. the kitsune had so many things to say to her. too many things. mother nature was just a coward; a sneaky, dogmatic, deceitful, cruel, beautiful coward. venus loved her, and loved to hate her.
one question on venus' mind today was the fragile conceptualisation of a person consciousness. how was it formed? why did some differ on merely this one seemingly unimportant factor and produce strikingly contrasting individuals? when venus looked at someone with a mind like their own, venus saw someone with the capabilities of an intelligent individual capable of complex actions as motor skills, abstract concepts and complex reasoning. when venus stared into the eyes of the feral street-cat in front of them venus saw something so different; a simpleton who knew basic survival skills but had no way of communicating just how much they had the capacity for. did this individual have such skills as all the other sunhaven members? probably not. but why was that? what made a feral, feral? if it it a disease - then who is the infected patient? venus? or the hissing street-cat in front of them just eager to slash out the kitsune's throat rather than ponder on this hypothesis?
"hey look now, i just want to get a good look at you alright? maybe a blood sample.. maybe an autopsy too. but mostly i just want to talk okay?" frivolously trying to reason with the intruding feral, venus kept their safety simply on the basis that they were doing okay on out-speeding the feral cat's attacks as it tried again and again to bite and claw at the kitsune. azure hues darted as the feral began to display signs of fatigue, venus thought it was their opportune time to grab anything they wanted from the feral, but alas again the cat sparked angrily as it lept at the curious kitsune once more with a great hiss. "oh-ho! that was a close one huh? you're a sneaky fellow aren't you? but could you please just stay still for a moment?" leaping out of the way at the very last moment, venus was at it again trying to reason with the feral cat.
