If there was one thing Pierce was good at, it was dealing with kids. Even still, this little girl was so obviously scared, and so confused, she would be a bit tough to comfort. She must have known she'd reached a group when she got here, right? At least, she'd recognized that the smell meant there were people around, and known to stop- many adults were oblivious to that. "Do you want to come stay with me, hun?" Clementine, though still ill, was there, and she could certainly use a bit of company around the house. He didn't even know the girl's name, but that was fine- they just needed to make sure she was gonna be, you know, okay before they got into any of that stuff.
