but I haven't heard of blue lightning before ( only that if lightning strikes a power line, then the arching electricity will appear to be blue ) but from different distances and depending on what time of day it is when the lightning strikes, it has been known to change colors from yellow to red to orange
but in photographs it can be blue, purple, or even brown, depending on the camera and even the type of film used.
