Feyre knew that she shouldn't be here.
The ancestors whispered warnings into waiting ears, a strange sensation - crushing and suffocating - blossoming in her chest as white-capped paws carried her closer and closer to the open door. She paused at the opening of it, breath catching in her throat, before she succumbed to her unyielding curiosity and crossed the threshold, a sigh of relief slipping past pale lips as all that tension all but dissipated. Obviously this was Onision's room, that fact best explained by his resting presence in the middle of it, but Feyre could not shake the undeniable familiarity that tackled her as lavender eyes swept over photos that were scattered around the room.
One, in particular, caught her attention, the tiny ragdoll releasing a gasp as she drank in the sight of her mother and father smiling with an unfamiliar chocolate point. [color=#3f5351]"Mom? Dad?" Inquired the child quietly, teetering forward to pick up the picture and investigate it further, expression contorting until it resembled something akin to sadness. Regret. Embers danced across her pelt, eyes flashing amber as a swell of magic nearly consumed her. Feyre darling, hold yourself together. You're in the company of a practical stranger. There it was again, that strange voice. She couldn't ignore it though, not when it was trying to help her, and so she forced herself to calm, keeping her tone neutral as she decided to disturb the resting Oni. [color=#3f5351]"Why do you have a picture of my mom and dad? I don't understand. I don't even have pictures of them... What?"
