there wasn't much that benny had to offer around camp. not to mention it kept him away from yes man. the savannah cat was a leader, how quaint since the last time they'd met. benny himself had no personal issue with the ardent. benny was just an asshole that got involved in some really bad activities and he happened to be a victim to one of them... that wasn't benny's fault though, right? at least the fox wasn't the one who chose to capture him.
still, it seemed yes man refused to back down even now, and benny would continue to lie his way through not knowing who he was until he fucked right off and left him alone. sad, really, he was kind of cute.
the fox was, as he had been when he was first found, submerged underneath the surface of water. it was hot and his partially black pelt didn't help make it bearable. he slowly kicked his legs, but mainly floated from one end to the other and let the small current direct him. light blue gaze caught sight of cosette, and he stood on all fours to halt himself. a small smirk came across his maw and he slowly sunk beneath the surface, creeping up toward the bank she was resting on, and broke through the surface with quite a splash.
"gotcha!" he laughed, whether he scared her or not. he recognized her from his... whatever it was. she seemed to be the only normal one here. "what'cha doin' here all alone, girlie? this ain't no place for a pretty face." benny added with a cheeky grin, balancing himself on his two hind legs and his two forelegs upon the bank.
