he was slow to lift his head upon hearing luca's voice, staring wearily at his door for some time. he was hesitant to let anyone in now before thoroughly questioning them (the best an injured person could), paranoid that the hound was back for him, back to steal the wings he had not yet grown. the angel heaved himself up from his bed, whining softly in pain as he strained the wounds on his back, and limped to the door. he was too exhausted to say anything as he opened it up, meeting eyes with the hellhound momentarily before he stepped back and shuffled back to his bed. junji kept quiet, unsure of what he could say. he was grateful that luca had found him, had stayed at his side and taken some pain for himself while aita did their best to help.
tears pricked in his eyes as he lay back down, another soft whimper escaping him. he hated to let luca see him like this; weak and crying at every little sting of pain, no longer the sweet little angel but instead a pathetic boy, sensitive and gullible. soft ocean eyes flickered to where the hellhound stood, eyeing the basket between his jaws and finally taking a moment to breath in the smell of muffins. admittedly, it filled him with warmth, knowing that the other had thought to visit him and even bring him pastries. for a moment he wanted to cry, but the best he could, he kept the tears from falling and instead offered luca a shaky smile. "i'm glad you came," junji offered weakly, voice raw and scratchy. it hurt to speak, but he wanted to talk to luca. "thank you." he added, softer now, shifting slightly in his bed.
