he was glad, though, to have guards. especially people he could trust; he'd always admired jiyu and her undying devotion to the high positions, and though he didn't know peytriviing as well as he knew the calico, they made him feel safe. he could trust them. he would be safe.
a snoring outside his room startled him from his dozing, though it wasn't enough to anger or irritate him. he hadn't been sleeping well anyway, but from the way it sounded, pey was taking a snooze on duty. prestige smiled to himself, listened to them a few moments longer, before he finally rose from his bed and padded to the door. quietly he opened it, head popping out to take a look at his sleeping guard. a soft laugh escaped him at the sight of them. he was still for a minute or two before he realized he was staring; he hummed and reached a paw out to prod at the manticore. "sleeping on the job, are we?" the snow leopard cooed, head tipping in amusement.
