aphra's head jerked up in surprise as cleo spoke to her, her icy gaze showing shock for a few heartbeats before it returned to its normal cold look. "why would i be, love?" she cooed, her bellowing tail flicking as she tilted her head up at her daughter. seriously though, did all of her kids believe she was dead? how disappointing, really. aphra watched cleo as she leaped down, stepping a few paces back. at the mention of snakes, aphra raised an invisible eyebrow at that. "what makes you say that?" her words were cold just like her narrowed eyes now, completely getting rid of any feign fondness she had of cleo. aphra clearly did not like the threat cleo made, though it wasn't the snakes that got her so upset; it was rather the fact of cleo saying she'd be stuck with nowhere to go. and you know what they say about cornered animals.
