    [color=#445544]"You're actually still alive?"

    Cleo's inquiry was laced with undeniable apathy, a metaphorical brow raising to accompany her clipped and cold words as she looked down upon Aphra from the branch that she currently resided within. A frown would expand upon cinnamon colored lips, ivory canines revealed for the briefest of moments as she contemplated half snarling at her mother. Mother. Mother. No, she did not even deserve that title. Aphra was as far away from a mother to her it got, deadbeat to the extreme with little to no interest in any of her children. But in comparison to the rest of her family, she supposed that she could say that she liked Aphra a bit more. The female had never been around before and thus could play no role in her rescue, she hadn't expected her too either. Maybe Pinch... Maybe Goldie or Coldblue or Auntie Vandal or Aunt Rosemary... But not Aphra... Never Aphra.

    She would emit a faint sigh, leaping from her perch with the posed elegance of a developing lady only to stand before Aphra, unimpressed. Eshe coiled tighter around her neck, her forked tongue making an appearance as she tasted the air. [COLOR=#445544]"There are snakes all around you, Mother. I'd watch where you step." A warning and one hardly well-veiled. Sanguine eyes blinked lazily, frail shoulders rising and falling in a half hearted  shrug. [color=#445544]"You'd be stuck out here with nowhere to go."
