[yikes sorry this is so late guys!! thing's have been hectic rip. also i didn't proofread this so sorry about any possible mistakes!!]
Anakin was the first to arrive, which was a bit odd. She had seen him more and more the past few days, and she wondered if there were reasons behind it. The white feline figured she was more than likely just paranoid given all that had occurred. "Something's caused the Observatory's systems to go haywire. I wonder if it's a power surge or something... Maybe our generators blew out," she suggested, tilting her head ever so slightly to the left.
Washington then stepped forward. "Sabotage isn't likely. Bast's the only one with a key to the generator room." Everyone in the Ascendants knew where said room was, but gaining access to the inside was impossible without the key. Even those with the ability to teleport themselves couldn't seem to get passed the door. Strange magic. The Observatory seemed to be full of that. "Air is a tricky thing. The vents should be open - they usually are... Lockdown might've triggered something to close the vents, but I'm hoping that's not the case." Her eyes shifted from Washington to Beverley as she spoke about that. Fresh panic began to set in.
Baby blue eyes landed on Shininglight and Washington continued to drone on. "Food and water's a given concern, yeah. Medicine too. Shine, what were the herb supplies like?" she asked, pushing the fear out of her voice. She couldn't be upset now.
The girl, without realizing, had began to pace. Washington's words were coming quickly, like a barrage of bullets and each sentence sliced into her skin. Her head was swimming. She couldn't concentrate, and her rage was only building - a result of the severed bond. "The vents are blocked by these like, grate-things, Washington. You can't use them to get to the outside as far as I know. You'd have to break through, but bigger, stronger, animals aren't small enough to get into the vents." Her words contained an edge. Not at Washington or anyone else here, but rather at the situation. "And burning our way through isn't an option either. The walls were designed to withstand flames because fires are so common here with the plains... Believe me, we've had some interesting fire incidents and nothing's happen to the walls."
Beverley's question caused Suiteheart to purse her lips. "I think the only way to use that is from the inside - from the generator room, maybe." She flicked her tail in thought. "But if the place is in lockdown, I'm not sure if the controls'll work unless everything is overridden."
She frowned, eyes scanned over each individual present. Only four of them? That didn't seem too bad, but it didn't ease her troubles about those on the inside. "Washington's got a point thought. We ought to check the vents. Maybe one is busted up from age. Maybe we can get in and out that way," she suggested. "We also need to gather up food and stuff in a bit. Herbs too in case we get hurt trying to break in."
