the activity in the slys house that morning could have made one believe there was a small gathering occurring that morning. the sound of objects tipping over, a glass perhaps breaking (but let's just say it mysteriously disappeared) and the sound of paws scuffling from one room to the other. captainpaw had been running about the tree house, putting things into his knapsack and fitting as much as he could. he had his colring books- check. crayons - check. arts and crafts kit- check. the striker wanted to be sure he had everything he needed before his day began, and it also included some rummaging in places he probably should not be.
though after some almost-broken doohickeys that his father had made, cap decided that he would look for something else next time. none of the inventions looked very nice to play with anyway. maybe when goldie got better he would give her a tour, though.
after picking up everything he had either dropped or broken, which was swept under the rug, literally, cap headed out to start his day. the knapsack was strapped to the maine coon's back, and his hat fitted on his head, the tom looked ready for quite the adventure. he walked down the all too familiar path out of the jungle and onto the beach. though today he would not be at the shores playing in the waves. instead, he began his descent to the submarine, where he carefully stepped into and halted at the entrance. oh boy... he actually never had been in here before.
"ah, hello?" he began to walk down a randomly chosen corridor, hoping that his friend would luckily be nearby to hear his calls. "goooooldie!" he sang, peering into room after room.
