Had Shining ever been in this sort of situation before? Not quite. He had never experienced clanmates being stuck inside camp so tightly. A blizzard or two had accomplished similar results, but creatures wanted to be inside then. Now the opposite was true- they had to get the place to open somehow, so everyone could be let out. During the first few minutes of the whole ordeal, Shining had his head pressed to the large metal door, eyes shut as he tried to focus. He had felt Lessa on the other side, the two separated no more than by a few feet between them. Yet she- and the rest of his clanmates- were unreachable.
If he had retained his powers, Shining would have burnt a hole through this door already.
He had moved out of the way once Suite and Washington attempted to pry the door up and open. No success. Shining padded away from the group for a bit, to think, as Tabitha perched on his back worriedly. He returned only when Suiteheart called for them, to have a discussion on what to do. The feline sat down and looked around. Only three others were present at the moment: Suiteheart, of course. Washington, and the ghostly Anakin. He frowned; surely that wasn't it? Was the super majority of the clan inside?
Washington began talking. Shining didn't have a good first impression on the guy, and his mood towards him didn't change for the better as the lion spoke. He... sounded cold. Emotionless. Like the fact of his friends and family being trapped inside didn't bother him a singe bit. Most of the words went through Shining's brain, as he slumped down and mumbled occasionally.
He didn't like feeling so... powerless. Incapable of helping. Shining unsheathed his claws and dug at the earth.
