⚓ IKAIA | current track ♪ | current shape: oncilla | engaging. . . |
"Hey!" The young oncilla waved a tail - uselessly, he remembered - as he spotted a small figure beneath the shadow of a palm. The light drizzle left water clinging to his fur, but he did not seem to mind. He'd been far more invested in watching some turtles make their way to the ocean, disappearing into the deep blue waves. "Keo right?" The boy happily bounced over, joining the other small feline beneath the tree, supposing it'd be good to duck out of the rain for a little bit.
She looked a bit thoughtful. Maybe just bored, really. Ikaia understood that all too well. His old home had been rather boring; he'd been alone after all. No one else sentient to talk to in that grove. It was a beautiful, relaxing place, and it'd been home, but a boy needed friends and excitement. Or things grew dull. So he sought out adventure on the sea, then friends here on this island, though he was not sure if anyone here was really his friend quite yet. Just crewmates right now.
No matter, he'd be a child for quite some time - after all, he was, though he didn't know it, similar to Keona in this aspect - which meant quite a lot of time for him to bounce into his crewmate's lives and befriend them all. Ikaia was sure he'd be able to call everyone here friend, eventually. He was excited for it, but until then, he had to find ways to kill time before the boredom struck.
The turtles had done it for a little while, until he got distracted by spotting the other kitten. Maybe she had something on her mind, or was looking for something to do herself. "Penny for your thoughts," he grinned sheepishly, "I uh, don't actually have any pennies though."
