BEATRICE
Death was not a foreign concept to Beatrice. It was something she had dealt with from time to time in her youth, and now that she was older - now that she was here -, she knew a lot about death. Though she had cleaned her paws and teeth time and time again, phantom bloodstains would always mark her body. She was a murderer through and through: a life taker, a soul robber, a monster.
She wasn't sure exactly how she had ended up near the land bridge. Her medical satchel was not hanging from her shoulder. Fictional eyebrows furrowed as she realized she had to make up for lost time again. She hoped she hadn't taken a soul for the Beast while blacked out. "You're losing it, Beatrice," she murmured, padding onward, not paying attention to where her feet were falling. She had been so out of it that she stumbled over Caesar's body.
Beatrice didn't move from where she lay for a couple of heartbeats. Panic ignited in her chest as she pushed herself up and moved to see the dead body. Red ears flew backwards. Had she done this while she was blacked out? Had she done this? She took a breath, centering herself. 'Calm down...' she whispered in her mind. There was another scent here, one she recognized but hadn't encountered for a long, long while. The Ascendants? Was that it? She bit her lip, unsure.
"Hey, you guys might want to see this," the Sage hollered over her shoulder before craning her neck to inspect the male before her. She could feel his soul lingering, still connected to its physical form. Her eyes darkened, and she knew she wanted it. No one would miss it, right? She sighed. She couldn't think like that anymore - not with Clanmates at least.
