Ghosts...Hazel had seen ghosts. Ghosts in the form of smoke and mirrors, not sheets and spooky noises. Her ghosts came in the form of scars and nightmares, or echoes and trailing whispers down her spine. Ghosts were supposed to haunt, and Hazel's ghosts haunted so vividly she could hardly tell if they weren't real.
As for her horse, Arion rarely ever strayed from the plains of the middle of the territory; he'd spent nearly a month in the woods, weaving his way through tree trunks and foliage. Hazel had been with him, night and day, watching as he struggled to find a place to stretch his legs. She'd felt awful, knowing his muscles cramped. So stumbling upon the open-plained peninsula hadn't been much of a choice when it came to picking a new home.
Hazel joined the small group, glancing between Suite, Oni and Alexander right as the older boy of the two present asked his question. "Yeah, we have a couple horses. Two that I know of. Mine is Arion, and he's usually trailing after Octavia, Bastille's filly." She blinked at him, shrugging. "Why?"
