junji hadn't expected to see the sightless cat fishing, though he thought with a smile that it suited her name. he watched as she stalked the water, seeing her ears twitch at the surrounding noises, and sat himself down in the sand at the edge of the dock. he wouldn't interrupt; this was likely an important matter, something that brought the woman joy even without her sight. ears perked and he sat straight up when she suddenly lunged for the water, wrestled with it for a moment, and then fell back with a sizable fish writhing in her arms. the sage smiled wide and stood, tail swishing in amusement, paws tapping quickly across the stretch of wood as he went to congratulate her.
"fischer!" the boy purred. "that was amazing! great catch!" he praised, eyeing the sea creature as it flapped around on the wood. it really was a wonderful thing; in the back of his mind, junji hadn't quite expected a catch, but that also came from the fact that fishing had never been one of his talents. nevertheless, he was happy for her, and she seemed rather proud of herself as well. jun sniffed at the fish for a moment before straightening up again. "have you always been that good?"
