"Has anyone told you that you have very pretty eyes? You do."
The jackal blinked, brows raising. "Er," he began, but the words he was searching for were nowhere to be found. Whether or not something was "pretty" had never really mattered much in the desert, nor did it matter much here; the concept of beauty was not something he thought about often, if at all. Did he have pretty eyes? Maybe she was just fascinated by the fact that his irises were two different colors. Still, he doubted the compliment would leave his head anytime soon, as few of them did.
When Georgie finally called the game to order, Paper turned his head slightly to the right, perking up his left ear so as to hear more clearly. Her being the firstborn in her litter was certainly possible, but would obviously be difficult for him to verify in this moment. Given her enthusiastic nature, he also wouldn't have been surprised if she hated fighting- sure, it was possible that she enjoyed being on the battlefield, but it seemed unlikely. However, he couldn't see her cowering away from thunderstorms, of all things. Besides, if she really did fear storms, then why would she explicitly say so? There was no benefit to admitting your own weaknesses for something as silly as a game.
"I'm gonna go with 'fear of thunderstorms,'" the jackal said finally, nodding to himself. He supposed he'd have to wait for Daphne to guess before the game continued on, then. Even if it somehow turned out that Georgie really did fear storms, and he ended up looking like a fool, he could at least use the information gained here for future reference.
