They had a part of her life for a long time, having grown through as wings of pure black to reflect her anointed position as Etro's champion, or something like that. The more accurate description was that, as the chaos twisted and warped her soul, her body was affected too. Mortal forms were not meant to hold the type of soul that Anima carried back then, so it warped and mutated whatever she inhabited, from the fangs to the wings to the horns to her mismatched eyes.

Now, she just kept the wings because she liked them. She liked that now - she could just choose what she wanted to do with her body, since it was easily torn apart with it... Uh... No, stop that train of thought, she doesn't like considering what she really is. She spots Stocking... Ah, were those wings new? She saw them when she was joining right? Eh, the encounters all a blur really.
