Apparently there was some trouble at home with...something. A group, a person, whatever it was, it wasn't going to end well. He knew that much. What he didn't know was who was gone now.
He stopped in place when he heard the rat squeaking violently, squinting down at the smaller creature. He couldn't see what they were circling around at first, gradually scooting closer to see, but keeping his distance in case the tiny creature reacted negatively. A bit of fur, huh? Fur...from someone....right? Was that what this was about? Fur was bad in a clump, separated from the body. But he didn't know who's fur this was. He smelled the alcohol, wondering bleakly if that had anything to do with this. But he stayed silent.
