Indeed this was no fitting topic for the ears of a child and yet it seemed to draw them like moths to a flame, the tiny dark frame of the kitten stumbling forward.
Boredom had come to fill their mind, the promise they had made only a short time ago to stay put and allow their throat time to heal already fading into distant memory, the soft patter of rain drawing them out from the dark little spot they had chosen. Their days had contained little beyond eating what little food they could choke down in hopes to combat the hunger which curled in their stomach, a constant presence they couldn't satisfy, and sleep. Broken only by the gentle words of Imperia or Moon as they sought to check their wound it had become tiresome quickly, their paws itching as energy built within them with no way to be expelled.
Light little steps drew Harland through the observatory, a broken, croaking hum rising from lips twisted into a frown, brow furrowed over their eyes. It was hard getting used to the fact they couldn't speak nor make much noise without an ache deep in their throat, a reminder of how they had gotten here, but they were getting better about it, speaking only in short sentences or single words if possible. Ears swivelling forward as a voice rose a smile was quick to take the look of annoyance, a gentle squeak escaping them as they rushed on, skidding along the floor.
“Momo!” It hurt to call out and yet they did so through a wince which briefly contoured their features, once more replaced by a look of joy as the kitten scrambled towards Moonmade, never realising this was not their place. Tucking themself between the lion's front legs a look of reigned of anger came across their features, brow furrowed and cheeks puffed out as they uttered a soft growl, more a scratchy little squeak than anything, the fur along their shoulders puffed up.
It seemed not to matter to them that this was not their place, looking upon the crowd only brought that thought up briefly as they came to notice most were looking towards Moon, the kitten seemed determined to stay just where they were.
