The singing conch draws Vandal over from her tree-hut. The base has been finished, for the most part, and all that's left to do is to furbish and design; it's because of this that she isn't too torn about leaving it for a couple of minutes, picking her way through the jungle and shores until she's drawing closer and closer to the bustling crowd of Typhoon members. If she squints, she can almost imagine them being one sea, one entity in the way they writhe.
It's clear she hasn't gotten any good sleep in a while. She trudges through the crowd looking antsy and distressed - she can't find anyone she recognizes and it's worrying her. Her name is called, she's urged to the front, and she doesn't exactly know what's going on except that Pinch is saying something about a promotion and urging her to drink something. She doesn't know why she does, but she lets the bitter taste linger on her tongue as she downs it in one go before wandering back to the crowd.
Her eyes sweep left and right until she finds the familiar form of Deldrach. Vandal quickly wanders over to settle herself down next to her, hunkered over with her head dipped low like she's done something bad and doesn't want people to know. She sits there and lets herself be quiet, be disconnected for once,
