CLEO ROUX-CIPHER
Seeing her father bedazzled and shining in the early morning light supplied Cleo with an immense amount of satisfaction. She would settle to Katherine's left, ears perked and straining to hear the announcements Pincher so diligently supplied. His voice was, as always, perceived as faraway and quiet, but she managed to make out what he was saying well enough, a gasp of surprise tumbling from cinnamon colored lips when she heard her own name among those both welcomed to the clan and deserving of a shoutout.
Eshe coiled tighter around Cleo's lithe frame, the child now struggling for breath a bit as she processed the news that proceeded her father's talk of promotions and the like. She didn't make any move to loosen the snake however, merely continuing to attentively listen. She would not lie though- her father, standing up there in all of his glittering glory, was quite the sight for sore eyes and she had to fight off the urge to laugh. She and the others had done a remarkable job of making him pretty and she would have to say, his makeover was fit for a king.
"Congratulations," The child said quietly, voice distant and barely audible. It contained certain notes of apathy as well, though they were disguised easily by how softly she was speaking. What else could she say? She didn't have much of a desire to contribute anything else to the meeting. The small bengal would make it a point to check out the various events her father detailed however.
