[div style="background-color:#F0B1DB;width:90%; overflow: stretch;text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt;"]Delilah felt her chest squeeze at the shift in the tone of the male's voice, causing her to lift her paw up to her chest and squeeze it. Stop it. You just met him. How unusual it was for her to fawn at the sound of someone's voice, to melt just at the sound of it. But why did he call her by her last name? "Delilah, call me Delilah." Corrected the pink feline gently, a soft smile gracing her pretty features as magenta irises turned away from the lynx for a few seconds.
She noticed how he moved away, how just the idea of her even touching him caused him to shy away. To flinch, almost. Was he afraid? No, that wasn't it. They were alike in some ways, though, little did she know. She had ran away from someplace wrong, too. She had never killed someone before though, so maybe they were exact opposites? She couldn't deal with fights, she was more interested in healing and helping others.
Her head pounded with thoughts as his presence continued to grace her. Normally, people usually walked away by now. Why was he staying? People always left. She knew from experience. He said he would come back for her. He said he loved her. But he never did, and she ended up escaping alone. She was afraid to love, but she was so damn easy to infatuate. And God damn, his eyes, while devoid, were so intriguing to her. If she was a goddess to him, he was a god. No, something more. But what was more than that? She didn't know.
While he smelled of blood, the floral-scented femme didn't seem fazed by such things. Her gaze softened, and she lifted a paw up to her mouth to cover it as she giggled at the look on his face. Why was he looking at her like this?
"You can always find a Home." She meowed, a kind smile on her features. Maybe she was naive, but she believed everyone had a good side. Even the mafia members whom had kidnapped her had motives behind it, probably. But that was probably because she trusted way too easily. Such futile things would be her downfall one day.
"I'm known for being a bit.. Clumsy. So, no promises." Giggled Delilah, her nose scrunching up as she searched through her basket for some sort of medical herb. Talia told her that goldenrod was good for thorns, right? Lifting the flower up, the girl popped it into her mouth, a look of disgust staining her face before she spat the poultice onto her minor wound, wrapping it with a few cobwebs she had on hand. "Maybe if you want to stay here, you could make sure I don't fall off of another cliff into mud. That was terrible." She snickered, a smirk on her face.
Mr. Cipher, otherwise known as Vigenere Cipher, was the first person to see her, injured, on the borders of Tanglewood when she joined. She had formed an attachment to the feline, but more of one of admiration than friendship. "He's the Regent of Tanglewood. A high rank. He's super nice." Chimed the pastel maine coon, her tail sweeping over her sides happily. His presence made her drunk, tipsy on the looks he gave her despite trying to hide them every time. She craved such attention, but maybe that's what was bad. She didn't want to be alone. She didn't want to get hurt.
