Boy, there sure was a lot of announcements, wasn't there? As the boy scampered over to join the others, he would listen intently as Beck spoke, taking in each word. It wasn't like Atlanticpaw to pay attention for this long but hey- he was new to this place and he wanted to give a good impression. As his name was mentioned among the joiners, he gave a grin off acknowledgement, tail waving in greeting to anyone who happened to look his way. Other than his own, Lance recognized a few other joiners, like Bugs, Bella, and Aumnet, but he wasn't quite sure who the others were. Oh well! He'd find out soon enough.
Then came the less friendly announcements. It seemed there other groups like them that existed out there, but according to Beck, the one that went by 'The Typhoon' wasn't very nice. Atlanticpaw had been hoping to avoid conflict while he stayed here but, that came with life sometimes, he guessed. Then there was the dead... dead fawn? The faint grin that had been on the boy's face was replaced with mild horror and he forced himself to look away, shivering. What had happened to it? It didn't look... natural. He definitely wouldn't be going near the swamp any time soon. Next were high position stuff and shoutouts- those sounded nice! Lance heard a few of the names he knew, bringing the smile that had been on his face a few minutes ago back again. Good for them! That seemed to be the end of it, though. Cool, that was fun, he guessed! "Understood, Beck!" The young tom called out in acknowledgement, hanging around a little longer just in case there was anything else the leader had to say.
