Delilah's face was devoid of emotions for a moment as she thought, idly, of how she could reply to this creature's voice. It was soft, desolate, fragile in an unusual way. The maine coon silently slipped the berries she had been sorting into her mini basket that she had brought along with her, her mouth watering at the sight of it. She loved berries, how unusual for her kind. Cats didn't eat berries, did they?
His name was Cavalrychoir? That was a pretty name, in a strange, unknown way. Everything was strange to the skittish femme, and it was evident by the way the pastel feline paced forward a bit, nose sniffing for a familiar scent, or a scent at all. All she could smell was faint blood. Probably from fresh-kill, she dismissed the thought, a nervous smile taking up her pretty features as she heard him ask about Tanglewood. Has he never been anywhere near this place? Was he new?
"Ah, oh.." Stuttered the anxious feline, fiddling with her paw gently as her ears twitched, the fluffy appendages listening to his voice. Should she introduce herself? Yeah, it was only appropriate. "My name.. Is Delilah. Delilah Evergarden." She mewed out softly, tilting her head to the side as she smoothed her paw over her injured one, tail thumping against the ground behind her.
She could just imagine just how easy it would have been for the lynx to kill her, honestly. If he wanted to, he could have. But why didn't he? It wasn't like Delilah wanted to die, though. The Cipher's told her she was protected here. If he hurt her, he'd have Hell on his hands. So why did she want to move closer, to examine him so curiously? She was afraid of him still, but her curiosity was soon blooming into a flower that she was just itching to pick.
"Tanglewood is my home, it's.. It's a group of people like me and you." She meowed, trying to make things like explaining a group much easier for the foreign male. It was obvious he didn't know what Tanglewood was. She was curious to find out how he thought about it. If he'd join. "You have a home.. Right?" She asked softly, magenta eyes staring up her almost attacker. Almost.
When he mentioned her paw, Delilah let out a soft chuckle, like a sweet symphony that floated through the lightly breezed air. It was a funny story. How should she tell it? She was clumsy, she couldn't help it. "I got into a rasberry bush. Thorns stuck my paw." She attempted to soothe the obviously tense feline, waving him down with a paw to attempt to calm him. "Nobody would dare to hurt me in Tanglewood, Mr. Cipher told me so." She meowed, the obvious naivety in her voice bearing down on the situation. She was unfamiliar with the fact that some people weren't afraid to slaughter anyone. She wouldn't have made much of a meal with how slim she was, but that didn't matter to murderers.
After all, her pelt was quite a rare thing. Flowering pelts weren't all that common around here.
