Iron. It supposed to be toxic to her kind. She supposes that was because it warded against magic. If ingested, it blocked the flow of magic to a person, or so she had heard. Apparently, swallowing it proved fatal to many a fae that was tricked by a mortal, their one weapon against a force that outmatched them. And yet now, she held it in her paws with nothing more than a tingle, sharpening it into a narrow, sharp blade.
It mattered not whether iron blocked magic now, did it? She was trapped here in this world, with a magic that she couldn't access. The land was painfully mundane - boring, stale, unimportant. The Ascendants themselves seemed to be a rather large group - that still didn't mean she actually cared. Lucia just needed somewhere to stay for a while whilst the wound healed. Then she would leave and she would go and track down the bastard that did this to her.
It was a sterling plan to her.
The lioness simply sat humming to herself whilst she worked with the blade, scraping it against a metal rod repeatedly. There was a whetstone nearby, several clothes, the white one very clearly covered in the filings and shavings off the blade. Twas better than making conversation.
