goldenluxury "goldie" roux — female — the typhoon — tags
goldie liked the jungle. it was pretty. it had many flowers and plants that were all over. it had many animals that lived together. it had lots of fruit and other ingredients she could collect. it carried many noises and scents, and was very different than the beaches she was used to. she was always curious about exploring it, and sometimes she would. but, the jungle made her nervous.
it was closed off and sometimes held things that she didn't recognize but felt threatened by. it was easy to get lost in and get stuck on a vine. she's had several nightmares within the jungle and being alone. she woke up injured and alone one day in the jungle. she hasn't had the best experience with the jungle. but, she wanted to collect herbs. since she knew the doctors of the crew were still restocking, she figured she could help out a little today. but, she didn't want to go alone - especially not in her current state.
so, she had asked her papa to come with her. she felt bad distracting him from any work that he needed to get done, since she knew he was so busy. but, at the time, she absolutely loved spending time with him and she felt this would be a nice, easy break for him. she grabbed her little basket and they headed into the jungle. by the end of it, they came back with both herbs, and something else.
the girl had found a young harpy eagle, all by itself. it seemed lost and pretty hungry, so she immediately felt compelled to help it. she tried to find its nest, but she couldn't. so, she asked her papa instead if she could keep it, to which he said yes.
currently, goldie was sitting on the beach with said eagle. she was teaching him his name. "lynn," she called, staring at him determinedly. he was starting to get the hang of it, letting out a few caws and moving towards her. she rewarded him with parts of a squirrel.

I'M NOT COMPLAINING, NO, I GOT A BETTER SET OF KNIVES NOW. I MISS MY DRUMMER, MY DEAD STEPBROTHER, AND THE PIT CROWD. AND CHUCK AND MATTY - IF THEY COULD SEE ME THEY'D BE SO PROUD.
