malphas was knocked out of the way and instantly gritted his teeth, unsheathing his claws and digging them into the earth, resisting the urge to charge and take out the bear dog himself. he realized that was a suicide mission, and he remained. he relaxed once he realized he could point out a fallacy in zima's beliefs.

"you know... you're a christian, right?" he was familiar with the religion, as it was what his parents had believed in. he had it drilled it into his head and when he left he denounced religion forever, but christianity he was the most familiar with. "in christianity, there's a set of ten rules. you might know em'. they're called the ten commandments. you know what the first- and probably intended to be the most important one is?" he paused. "you shall have no other gods but me. amunet's a god, right? her existence invalidates your religion. either she can exist or your god can exist. either she's a god and your god isn't, or she's no god at all. what do you think?" he asked, wondering what his response would be.
