His face scrunches up at the scent of decaying fish and plant, his purple irises sweeping across the coast. It was a wreck just as he had expected. His leg still wasn't quite healed, but he'd be damned if he didn't stay up and walk around. He wasn't just going to heed the medic's advice and stay in bed, no, he was too stubborn for that. Wobbling over, he still walked with a slight limp, but at least the discomfort was gone. It didn't hurt anymore, and that was a relief.
Greed wasn't even really sure why he had come along. He knew his shades were long gone, and even if they did wash up, they were probably broken all to hell. Still, he was here, maybe because he wanted to help people look. It was new for him, wanting to help others instead of hurting them. Progress, maybe? Either way, he was there, walking along the shore.
Eyes flickering about, they finally catch a glint, the sun's light bounding off something nearby. He turns and walks over to investigate, frowning when he sees what it is. As he expected, his glasses lay there in the sand, twisted and cracked. Great. He picks them up and sighs, simply throwing them back onto the ground. Maybe he could find a replacement later.
He looks down, lifting a paw to inspect the bracelet Roxie had given him. He swallows, a lump suddenly forming in his throat. At least he had brought this. Even if it was just a shiny trinket, it was still important to him. He was trying to get over her, and even though keeping it probably wasn't helping, he couldn't bring himself to just throw it away.
