Izuku had always been hesitant to consider people his friends. He never knew whether they considered him one, too, and sometimes the glares he got for calling people friends when they actually weren't just. Weren't worth it. And he didn't like the humiliation of being wrong, either. So he just learned to, well, avoid it. Anyways, Izuku, despite his appearances and behaviors, was definitely a fighter by nature. His clanmates hadn't got much of a taste of it, since Izuku tended to avoid it and it never really showed itself then. I mean .. he was less capable of defending himself now that he was scared to death of his own electricity and he was injured, but it's the thought that counts.
"That'll work!" Izuku chirps in response, tail waving still. He's still not quite sure how he feels about the lake, either -- he's had some bad experiences too, of course, but they're probably repressed enough that he doesn't think about them till he actually has to get in the water. Still, trodding along till they reach the water, Izuku's ears prick. "What sort of fish do you think are in the water? Would there be any in cold temperatures?" It was awfully cold for fish, after all, but Izuku doesn't claim to know a ton about fish. Besides, there could very well be a few since it was summer. Izuku isn't really sure there are any nearby, though. Not within his very limited sight range, at least. Hopefully Atbash could pick out stuff Izuku just kind of ... couldn't. Damn his near-sighedness and especially the fact his eyes were still healing after like -- a month.
