It seemed he was living an alright life before he was kidnapped... the very thing the man was worried about. He understood the taking of children who were miserable in the Griffingate, but what if they were content like Kai was? And if Kai was here, who's to say there isn't more case like him? And a Prince too? Was this coincidence or was this one planned because of his status? No, he already decided it was none of his concern. He wasn't going to get involved any more than he needs to. His response to the situation seems logical, though the part about not wanting to live in an environment with mutants- other mutants, seemed hypocritical. Narrowing his eyes in response, he held his silence as the child stopped, appearing to realize what he said. If the situation was different and Kai wasn't in danger, he would have hit the kid upside the head and yelled at him for saying something so stupid. But because the situation wasn't that, the Prince is going to have to settle with an irritated stare. Only when he finished did Jeong reply, no longer staring daggers into his smaller form and instead reverted back to his usual casualness. "Your Royal Highness," he started, "I'm sorry you have to be put in such an... unfortunate situation, but you can't go home." Jeong paused briefly, uncertain how to continue. The kid was just confused, scared even. Even if he could go home, the man would advise against it. "Where you come from, they look down on mutants, don't they? If you don't want this information to spread, it will be taken to my grave." it wasn't a hard promise to make. "Could you live with not being to be yourself? To live in fear of being discovered? To constantly be on guard about what you say?" He paused once more to let what he's saying sink in before starting again. "And then to be possibly harmed should others find out? You're unnecessarily risking your life and well-being and for what? For outdated, arrogant, jackasses to accept you? I'm sorry, Your Royal Highness, but that isn't a home. It's a parasite and you're the host they're feeding on." Laying back, the man slipped his hands under his head as he looked at Kai. "Home is where the heart is, but it's also anywhere you're able to be yourself. A place those around you either accept you for you, faults and all, or want to see you be a become a better person. Hell, both if ya lucky." And Jeong suppose he was lucky. Blackfall provided both of those.
Jeez, he wasn't used to talking so much. He seriously needed to wrap this up quickly. "If you ask me, Your Royal Highness, you should get kicked out and join us. Sure we have mutants livin' here but who gives a shit about that? Not a damn person here, I can guarantee that much. You'll really feel at home 'ere. But if ya really feel like going home, I still can't promise you'll get back safely. Tensions between Griffingate and Blackfall are high." He's really said a lot, huh? It made the man slightly uncomfortable. "I apologize if I spoke out of terms." Might as well get that out of the way. He knew how to act around royalty, growing up in a royal family and taught well. He was granted permission to live with them though there was no blood relation. To make up for Jeong staying with them, he was trained to protect a certain egotistical prince.
As far as the tensions between both groups, it would be wise to stay out of the frey as much as possible. Because Kai was already here, it would be smart to stay. If he were to get caught up in conflict, would he be able to escape? Jeong froze, a new thought entering his mind. Abruptly sitting up, he questioned. "Your Royal Highness, do you not have a personal guard?" He should have been assigned one, right? For moments just like this... or less drastic than this.
