Kai didn't fight back when somebody came to retrieve him. Kai didn't really know what was happening right now and was struggling to understand while also trying to push down a panic attack.
The child would cough when he was taken out of the water, the gills on his neck nearly disappearing as they flattened to allow his lungs to work normally.
The young prince stared at the man that had saved him and nodded weakly. He was alright..other than being a mutant, obviously.
"T-They took me from my home and forced me to be here. I am the Prince of Griffingate, I do not want to be in the home of my enemy, nor do I want to be in the home of all of these mutants." Hypocritical, my child.
He'd obviously pause after saying that, looking away slightly as if sorta ashamed. "I would like to go home but I would appreciate the new information about me not get out. I would be disowned and kicked out of the only place that I belong." He was obviously struggling with this.
