With a panicked noise, the kitten lifted up on his hind paws and batted at the air with his front paws; it was as if he was batting the other kitten away.

He was so distracted by Aaliyah that he almost didn't notice the approach of Genevieve, not until she actually spoke. He twisted, still squatted on his hind paws, to look at her, a smile on his maw that flickered for a moment. He couldn't tell what but, something felt... off about her.
